Snehalata Brings Glory to Ganjam, Felicitated by the Chief Minister

Hinjilicut  : Ganjam district has a reason to celebrate as SNEHALATA PANDA, a Class IX student from the Hinjilicut municipal area, secured first prize in a state-level debate competition, earning accolades for her school and district. She is the daughter of senior journalist Priyabrata Panda.

A student of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Sasan Ambagaon, Snehalata won the top honour at the State-Level Debate Competition organised by the Department of Water Resources during Pani Panchayat Fortnight-2026. Her sharp logical reasoning, clarity of thought and effective oratory impressed the judges, helping her emerge as the winner.The award ceremony was held on January 22 at the Lok Sabha Convention Hall, BBSR, during the concluding programme of the fortnight. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi felicitated Snehalata with a trophy, citation and a cash award of ₹10,000.

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and senior officials were present on the occasion. Snehalata credited her success to her parents and teachers. Her achievement has been widely appreciated by school authorities and local intellectuals.
